"The Circle of Life"

Final recital for the dance school M'Ami, in Milan, inspired by the musical "The Lion King".

All the costumes are made in cotton, rafia and jute, and hand dyed and hand painted.

"Hayez, Regista d'Opera"

Reconstrucion of a costume from an original Francesco Hayez's painting, kept by Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, Milan.

The aim was to recreate the original costume, using traditional decoration techniques, to give it the same glam as the past.

"Il Turco in Italia"

 

Lyric Opera by G. Rossini

Teatro Olimpico, Vicenza, Italy.

The costume and the scene was design and made by me and other students of the Academy of Fine Arts of Milan.

The inspiration was the early XIX century costume, adapted to a modern taste.

The costumes and the accessoties were made in paper and cotton, hand dyed and hand printed.

"Aratri e Seta"

 

Creation and reconstruction of a late XVIII century dress for my Master Thesis.

The project was based on historical research and analisis of derss pattern

The costume is made up of various part:

- compleate underwear, i.e. corset, panier, coulotte and tights;

- daytime open gown;

- travel jacket and upper skirt;

- shoes

​All the pieces are made in silk, hand-dyed with natural pigment, hand-printed and hand-embroidered with silk threads.

"Il convitato di pietra"

 

Set and costume design for the opern-air theatre company "Pantakin", Venice, Italy.

The plot was based on the fist version of "Don Juan" story.

"Klimt vest"

 

Design and realization of a late XVIII century male vest.

The decoration was inspired by Klimt's "Behetoven Freize".

The vest was made in silk, hand- painted, and hand-embroidered.

"Kabuki costume"

 

Creation and reconstruction of a complete female Kabuki costume for my Bachelor Thesis.

The project was based on historical research and analisis of dress patterns. 

The costume is made up of various level, each one made of diffrent type of silk.

The outlayer is decorated with gold silk paint and gold leaf.

The silk obi was also hand-printed.
